CLOSING THE RACIAL WEALTH GAP: COMMUNITY ROUNDTABLESCLOSING THE RACIAL WEALTH GAP: COMMUNITY ROUNDTABLES

The racial wealth gap has tripled in the past 25 years. We now find ourselves living in communities where the average family of color has only 16 cents for every dollar owned by the average white family.

This summer we are hosting roundtable discussions across Illinois. These roundtables will focus on:

  1. How individual communities see the racial wealth gap impacting their communities,
  2. Causes of the racial wealth gap, and
  3. How an asset building agenda can help close the gap.

We hope to engage communities more deeply in our policy agenda as we get ready for the next legislative session. Check out the upcoming roundtable discussions and click on the registration link for your community to join the discussion.
